The Next Best View Planner

• Extension to multiple 3D scans:

  • Match the acquired 3D scans in a common coordinate system (ICP algorithm)
  • Generate a ground plane from every singe 3D scan.
  • Use a polygon clipping algorithm to create the union of the ground planes.
